Keyes Elementary School is celebrating its centennial during the 2005-2006 school year. Located in a rural area of Stanislaus County in California’s Central Valley, Keyes Elementary School is the centerpiece of a small community of 3,000 people. The majority of Keyes students are Hispanic and bi-lingual. Eighty percent of their student population receives a free or reduced price breakfast and lunch.
The staff of Keyes Elementary school is committed to giving students the tools they need to be good citizens and positive forces in their community. Their goal is to ensure all students are reading on grade level by the end of the third grade. To achieve this goal, they have a dedicated staff that sets high standards and has expertise to bring out true greatness in their students.
